- What are the minimum system requirements needed to run IOS?
Technical requirements: a Pentium IV with 2 GB ram and 120MB hard disk space is recommended
Operating System: Windows XP and Macintosh OSX. A Linux is under development.
- What types of background can be used in IOS?
Autocad DXF, Images like JPG and PNG or GIF
- I Have floor plans of my site and buildings in Autocad but they are to detailed to use for evacuation or intervention. Can IOS simplify the drawings?
In IOS you can turn the layers from Autocad on and off so you can hide a lot of the detail that you don’t want to see.
- How can IOS help me keep my evacuation plans up to date?
Once you created an evacuation plan you can recreate that report with one click. The new report will show the updated (e.g. moved fire extinguisher) information on the drawing. You have to keep the application up to date and the reports will automatically be updated. This is not only the case for evacuation plans but also for intervention, intrusion etc.
- What happens if a building changes e.g. a wall is added?
You can replace the background of the floor (or any other location) that changed and reposition your icons. IOS will tell you what reports have been affected by this change so you know which ones need to be updated.
- Can I modify a report that was generated by IOS?
Yes, we generate reports in RTF which can be viewed and edited in Word.
- My company manages safety assets in Autocad. Is there a way to use this information in IOS?
Yes, we can ‘scrape’ information from Autocad drawings and reuse it in IOS. IOS can also export your changes back to Autocad.
- Can IOS help my company keep my safety information up to date?
